Google Pixel Tablet Set to be Cheaper Than Galaxy Tab S8
The upcoming Pixel Tablet is set to rival Tab S8 at a more affordable pricing. Here’s all you need to know.

The Pixel Tablet, Google’s first-generation tablet, is anticipated to be unveiled on May 10 at I/O. While information regarding the Pixel Tablet has been released gradually over the last few months, a recent leak suggests that its price in Europe has been indicated.
Leaker Roland Quandt has shared that the Pixel Tablet’s expected price in Europe will be between €600 and €650, which is reasonable as Google usually offers lower prices than Samsung. The vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 in Germany starts at €699. Similar to the Tab S8, the Pixel Tablet will come in two storage options: 128 GB and 256 GB. Although past reports hinted at four color choices, Quandt suggests that “Porcelain” and “Hazel” colorways may also be available.

It is likely that the Pixel Tablet will have a lower price compared to the Galaxy Tab S8 which was introduced at a cost of US$699 in the US. But, the hardware specifications of both tablets should be talked about separately.
The Google Pixel Tablet is a good tablet with a nice design, a good display, and powerful-enough hardware. While it cannot compete with high-end flagships from Apple and Samsung, it can be a very a great choice if you’re also looking for a smart display since a speaker dock is included. It’s a great Google Assistent tablet.
Real-life Images of Pixel Tablet Leaked
According to9to5Google, someone captured a real-life video of the yet-to-be-launched Pixel tablet at Google’s “Shaped by Water” installation during the ongoing Milan Design Week event.
You can find a video onSaori Masuda’s Instagram pagethat displays a table with various Google and Pixel devices, such as Pixel Tablets, Pixel Watches, different versions of Pixel Buds, and Pixel phones.
The video for the Pixel Tablet doesn’t provide much new information, as Google has already shown us what the tablet and itscharging dockwill look like. However, we do get to see the colors available for the tablet, which includes pinkish coral, gray/white, and a darker gray with a black bezel around the screen. These colors may be available for purchase when the tablet is released, along with a fourth color that was not shown in the video, according to 9to5Google.
According to9to5Google, the Pixel Tablets on display do not have the privacy switch that turns off the microphone and camera, which was reported on last week.
A request for comment was made to Google, but no immediate response was received. However, there is a possibility that the Pixel Tablet could make an appearance at the upcoming Google I/O event on May 10th. This speculation is fueled by the recent certification of a device that seems similar to the Pixel Tablet by the FCC. The event could also include announcements of other devices such as the Pixel 7A and the long-discussed Pixel Fold, which have already been widely leaked.
Rumored Specs and Features
Leaked information suggests that the upcoming tablet will feature theTensor G2 chip, which is the same chipset found in the Pixel 7 series phones. While no official details have been released by Google, sources online have mentioned that the tablet may have 8GB RAM and up to 256 GB internal storage. Additionally, it’s expected to launch with the latest version of Android, possibly Android 13 or 14 depending on the release date.
There have been rumors suggesting that the tablet may come with a stylus, but information regarding this remains limited. Additionally, the tablet is expected to have a camera at the back and one at the front for selfies. However, there is no confirmed information about their specifications, though the tablet may use the same 12.2MP wide-angle camera found on the Pixel 6a.
The launch of the Pixel Tablet by Google with a speaker dock is intriguing. It enhances the tablet’s functionality when it’s not in use for gaming or streaming. This feature sets it apart from other tablets that do not support a speaker dock.
