Honor announced a new budget-friendly tablet called the Honor X8 Pro. It was introduced in China along with the Honor X50 smartphone and a few other gadgets. The tablet features a big 11.5-inch screen and is equipped with a powerful 7250mAh battery. It runs on Snapdragon 685 chip. Interestingly, Honor has launched this tablet as Honor Pad X9 in Europe! The Honor Tablet X8 Pro is going to be available for presale in China starting from July 5 at 21:00. You can buy it at the following prices: 4GB+128GB for $148 (1099 Yuan), 6GB+128GB for $163 (1199 Yuan), 8GB+128GB for $188 (1399 Yuan), and 8GB+256GB for $223 (1599 Yuan).

Honor has launched the Pad X9 in a single configuration only in Europe for now, which consists of Wi-Fi, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage and costs €250/£180. It is available in Germany and will be available in the UK via the HiHonor online store on July 19. If you purchase before the end of July from the UK store, you will receive the Honour Earbuds X5 (£40) for free. This tablet will also be available at other retailers, including Amazon, Argos, Very, and Currys.

The Honor Tablet X8 Pro/Honor Pad X9 has an attractive design with a flat back that houses a single camera unit and a ring-shaped LED flash. The front has bezels that conceal the selfie camera nicely. Its body is made entirely of metal and has a thickness of 6.9mm and a weight of 495g. The device is available in coral purple, sky blue, and star gray colors.

The device has a sizable 11.5-inch LCD display that boasts a 2K high-definition resolution and an impressive 86% screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with a 120Hz high refresh rate which ensures smooth and seamless visuals. To minimize eye strain, the screen features various eye protection technologies, including TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Eye Protection Certification.

The new Honor Tablet X8 Pro/Honor Pad X9 has some impressive features. It boasts six speakers that provide surround sound and vocal enhancement 2.0 for a more immersive audio experience. The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chip and has a built-in 7250mAh battery that can be charged quickly at 22.5W. It comes with MagicOS 7.1 and supports Bluetooth keyboard integration. The tablet also has a front 5MP selfie camera, a rear 5MP camera, and supports Wi-Fi 5.

To provide a point of comparison, the previous version of the tablet, theHonor Pad X8, is priced at €180/£140 for a 4GB RAM/64GB storage configuration. This older model has a smaller screen size of 10.1-inch, a 60Hz display, and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200px. Additionally, it features a smaller battery with a 5,100mAh capacity, only stereo speakers, and is powered by a MediaTek MT8786 processor.
