New-look BlackBerry London leaks

The next-generation BlackBerry superphone has had a bit of a makeover since we last saw it

The BlackBerry London first leakedlate last year– but now a new render’s turned up showing a very different-looking phone.

Where last year’s leaked London was clearly influenced by theBlackBerry Porsche Design P’9981, the latest renders, leaked from a RIM presentation slide byCrackBerry, show a phone that’s more influenced by theBlackBerry PlayBook.

Looks aren’t the only thing the London will have in common with RIM’s tablet. Like the PlayBook, the London will run BlackBerry’s newBBX OS. And BBX should whiz along on the London’s rumoured 1.5GHz processor.

RIM’s been having a fairly torrid time of it recently, withPlayBook price slashesand theresignation of its CEOs. Its2012 BlackBerry and PlayBook 2 launchesare vitally important for the company’s future – not surprisingly, it’s clearly taking care over the design of its new flagship BlackBerry smartphone.
