New Sonos Controller apps coming to Mac and PC
Multi-room music maestros will offer enhanced software with easy-to-make playlist functionality next week
Christmas is coming early (or late, depending on how you look at it) toSonosusers, with new Controller software for both Mac and PC arriving next week.
Sonos says the apps are much improved over the current editions, with speedier search thanks to a unified box that looks for music in your own collection, plus Internet radio and music services.
Playlists are now easier to build thanks to drag-and-drop functionality, and a “Party Mode” volume control lets you instantly adjust the sound level across several Sonos Zoneplayers in your system. You can also use a miniature version of the Controller while browsing other apps. Only a few days now Sonos fans..
UPDATE:The Sonos controller apps for Mac and PC are now available todownload here. Happy playlisting!
