Nokia 808 PureView now on sale in the UK
The smartphone with the 41-megapixel camera finally arrives in Blighty – for the princely sum of £520
As you can tell fromour review, we were mightily impressed with the Nokia 808 PureView’s camera – and now the smartphone has finally arrived on our shores. It’s available SIM-free over atAmazon, although you’ll have to dig deep if you want it: it’s priced at £520.
The 808 PureView runs on Symbian software, which means it feels fairly old-fashioned in spite of its cutting edge camera technology, so the price sounds steep to us – but we imagine that sum will drop over the next few months. In the meantime, we’re hoping that Nokia decides to squeeze the PureView tech into a forthcoming Windows 8 handset.
