Nokia T21 Finally Debuts in the US at $240 with Launch Bundle
Nokia T21 finally enters the US market. Will it be able to compete with Samsung’s budget tablets?

Nokia released the T21 tablet in September 2022 for the European market. It is aimed at consumers who want a budget-friendly tablet for content consumption. Nokia T21 Price in the US & Availability
You can buy the Nokia T21 tablet on Nokia’s website in the United States for $239.99. The tablet has 64 GB of storage and comes in Charcoal Grey. Taxes and shipping fees are extra. You can buy a Flip Cover case separately for $39.99. Or, you canbuy a bundlethat includes the tablet and the Flip Cover case for a discounted price of $229.99.
Specifications
The T21 tablet is the successor to theNokia T20and has several improved features. It has a 10.36-inch 2K LCD display with a resolution of 1,200×2,000 pixels and an aspect ratio of 5:3. The tablet also has up to 360 nits of brightness and supports Widevine L1 for Netflix HD. Additionally, it offers stylus support with both Wacom WGP and Wacom Active ESE 2.0. The tablet is powered by a Unisoc T612 chipset and has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot (up to 512GB).
The Nokia T21 has an 8-megapixel camera in both the front and rear, but only the rear camera has autofocus and an LED flash. It has dual stereo speakers with OZO Spatial Audio and various connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with an 8,200mAh battery that can run for up to 3 days on one charge and supports an 18W charger.
The Nokia T21 is a tablet that runs on the Android 12 OS and is recommended for use with Android Enterprise. The company promises to provide two OS upgrades and monthly security updates for a period of three years.
Tough Spot for Nokia
We have reviewed the Nokia T21. We found that while its build quality, display, and speakers are all solid, we cannot confidently recommend it due to fierce competition. We were disappointed that the hardware performance did not make a significant improvement from the previous model.
The T21 model has resolved the major flaw of the previous version as it now allows HD video streaming. However, if you require a tablet for tasks such as editing high-resolution videos or gaming at high graphic settings, it’s recommended to consider other options. It’s suggested to explore the competition in the tablet market.
The current price for theSamsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022(WiFi) on Amazon is approximately $298, which is only slightly more expensive than the Nokia T21. This model offers better performance, a display with brighter colors, and superior speakers compared to the Nokia T21. Additionally, the build quality of the T21 matches that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022.
Another alternative is theSamsung Galaxy Tab A8The Samsung tablet is available for as low as $199, making it even more affordable than the Nokia tablet. Both tablets have similar performance and build quality, but we prefer the Galaxy Tab A8’s display. The sound quality of the speakers is also similar, but the Samsung tablet can produce louder sounds.
We cannot recommend the Nokia T21, despite its solid overall package. For those seeking a cheaper tablet, we recommend the affordable Galaxy Tab A8 or the superior Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022).
