OnePlus hasrecently launchedits OnePlus Pad tablet, but it seems like the company is gearing up for another attempt at the tablet market with the upcoming OnePlus Pad Go. This new tablet is expected to be the second tablet offering from the Chinese tech giant. Although the official details of the device are not yet available, there have been some references to the device on the OnePlus forums.
Reports suggest that the Pad Go may soon be launched in India, as it has surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The OnePlus Pad is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and was introduced in February at the company’s Cloud 11 event. It is supported by a 9,510mAh battery.
A Twitter user under the username@1NormalUsername,spotteda remark on the OnePlus forums about a new device called the “OnePlus Pad Go” and a certain OPD2304. Although the original post has been removed from the web, the tipster shared screenshots of the alleged listing of OPD2304 and OPD2305 on the BIS website, which further confirms the existence of a new OnePlus tablet.
Some model numbersare apparently linkedto both Wi-Fi and cellular versions of the Pad Go. However, the August 16, 2023 listing doesn’t provide any details about this unreleased tablet. These model numbers are displayed together with OPD2203, which is the model number of the OnePlus Pad.
It should be noted that OnePlus has not yet officially announced any information regarding a possible new Android tablet, so the information should be taken with a pinch of salt.
However, rumored reports suggest that the Pad Go will be launched with upgrades over its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad. The OnePlus Pad wasreleased in Indiain April of this year with a starting price of Rs. 37,999 (around $450) for the base model featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage was available at Rs. 39,999 (approx. $485). It was offered in a single Halo Green finish.
The OnePlus Pad boasts an 11.61-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,000 x 2,800 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The device features a 13MP camera on the rear with EIS support and an 8MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
