No, we aren’t making this up. Somebody has made a Portal clone for a scientific calculator

Once upon a time the most fun you could squeeze out of a calculator was writing a rude phrase out of numbers. Nowadays, you could play Portal instead.

A clever chap from Omnimaga has managed to port the entire 2D Flash game onto a scientific number-cruncher, making this the first portable version of Valve’s classic the world has seen.

Although Portal Prelude is not based on thefull 3D outingsand is strictly monochrome, it still involves using your grey matter and portals to get through 38 increasingly difficult Aperture Science tests, many of which end in a horrifying death. Plasma balls and electric fields do not go well with frail test subjects.

If you happen to have a TI-83 or TI-84, you can go grab your portal gun and download the game for hours of amusement in classes where you probably should be listening. Now don’t say we never give you anything.
