Redmi Pad SE Launched With 90Hz Display, Snapdragon 680 SoC

Following plenty of leaks, Xiaomi has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Redmi Pad SE tablet (notRedmi Pad 2). Aimed at young professionals and students, the Redmi Pad SE packs interesting features and is priced reasonably too. Now, without further ado, let’s check out the specs and features of the tablet.

The Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch FHD+ display with a 16:10 display ratio and a brightness of 400 nits. The tablet is touted to reproduce 16.7 million colors to bring content to life. With a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, users can enjoy smooth visuals during intense gaming sessions. Moreover, the device offers the flexibility to switch between 60Hz and 90Hz for energy efficiency, catering to various user preferences.

The Redmi Pad SE also packs an upgraded Reading Mode 3.0 with Classic and Paper modes. These modes provide readers with true-to-life color options that ensure optimal reading comfort. Additionally, the tablet features a TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free standard LCD, which employs DC dimming to eliminate both visible and invisible flickering within a wide range. This technology contributes to a more comfortable and enjoyable viewing experience.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC and is available in three RAM and storage variants – 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB. The storage on all variants can be further expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. In the imaging department, the Redmi Pad SE sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, both with full HD 1080p video recording. The tablet also features an AI Face Unlock feature.

On the software side of things, the Redmi Pad SE runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack. An 8,000mAh battery backs the device with 10W fast charging support. For audio enthusiasts, the tablet is equipped with quad speaker setup along with support of Dolby Atmos® and Hi-Res Audio.

The Redmi Pad SE boasts an aluminum alloy unibody design and weighs 478g and measures 55.53mm x 167.08mm x 7.36mm. The Redmi Pad SE is available in three trendy colors: Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green.

To cater to the differing needs of its customers and Xiaomi offers the Redmi Pad SE in three variants. The variant with 4GB RAM+128GB storage is priced at EUR 199, while the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant costs EUR 229. Furthermore, the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant starts at EUR 249.
