Samsung has rolled out yet another big update for a budget tablet. This time it is the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) that’s getting treated to the Android 14 update. This update by the South Korean tech giant marks the second major software update for the S6 Lite since its launch.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022) is getting an upgrade to Android 14 with the firmware version P613XXU4CWL1. At present, the update is available in France and other European countries. We expect the release to reach other regions and all European countries within the next few days. Unfortunately, the new version does not come with the January 2024 security patch (as pointed bySamMobile). Instead, it remains at the November 2023 security patch.

If you are an owner of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in Europe, you can quickly check and upgrade your tablet by heading to theSettingsapp and selectingSoftware update»Download and install.

To recall, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 (review) debuted with Android 12 OS out-of-the-box.. The tablet was then upgraded to Android 13-based One UI 5.0 via an OTA update. With the latest Android 14-based OneUI 6.0 update, we anticipate that the tablet might still be eligible for one extra major Android OS update this year.

The Android 14-based OneUI 6.0 update brings new features onboard, including a redesigned Quick Panel, different font, new emoji patterns, two new widgets i.e. Custom Camera and Weather Insights, and a media player widget that features a waveform-like animation.

Samsung has upgraded their default applications with the One UI 6.0 including the Camera app that now has a better layout alongside many handy features like intuitive QR code scanner, document scanning and more. Other feature upgrades include improvement in the Calendar app, minor changes in the Settings menu, enhanced security options, smart suggestions, new Gallery features and more.
