Samsung seems to be gearing up to bring out a new mid-range tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G. The rumored tablet has shown up on a benchmarking site.

The benchmark listing exhibits some essential details about the seemingly watered-down version of the flagshipGalaxy Tab S7. Samsung is using a similar naming scheme as it did for last year’s Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

Spotted on Geekbench, the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite carries the model number SM-T736B. It has got some flagship-level specs like 5G connectivity and a large 12.4-inch screen.

Interestingly, the listing does not outline the name of the processor. Still, specs like 2.21 GHz clock speed and Adreno 619 GPU refer to none other than a Snapdragon 750G processor capable of 5G connectivity. With 5G support, the Tab S7 Lite would be a future-proof device.

Other specsshared in the listinginclude 3.28GB RAM, which could be 4GB of RAM. The leaked tablet has scored 650 points in the single-core test and 1694 points in the multi-core test in the benchmarking results. The listing also reveals that the upcoming tablet would run Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Some of the previous reports about the leaked Tab S7 Lite revealed other models, too, probably without 5G connectivity. The other model numbers were SM-T730 (Wi-Fi) and SM-T735 (LTE).

Earlier reports also hinted that Samsung might name the lighter variant as Tab S8e instead of Tab S7 Lite 5G. Samsung may also launch a bigger variant of the Tab S7 Lite, which might feature the same specs but with a bigger screen.

Concerning the launch timeline, Samsung could make the rumored tablet official sometime around June this year.

The Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G brings considerable performance improvement over its predecessor, the Tab S6 Lite that scored just 1313 for the multi-core test. However, it remains a bit underpowered than the Galaxy Tab S7, with a benchmarking score of 3228.

You can find more about the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s performance and durability in our in-depthreview.

Of course, benchmarking results for unreleased devices are subject to change, so we must take every piece of information with a pinch of salt. There remains a chance that the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite dazzles us with its processing power when it makes an official entry.

In the market largely ruled by Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s lineup of Android tablets managed to secure their own place. The Galaxy Tab series is the biggest of names with a tablet for every price segment.

We are quite excited about the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite 5G. What’s your take on the leaked benchmark details? Are you impressed by the pre-release information and looking forward to the release of the new tablet by Samsung? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments.
