After TCL and LG unveiled their revolutionary tri-folding tablets in 2020, Samsung Display has followed suit by showcasing a range of cutting-edge technology. Although an exact release date is yet to be announced, Twitter leaker RGCloudS believes it won’t be too long now before the products reach store shelves. To stay ahead of its mid-range competitors, Samsung also plans to introduce a brand new line of economical foldable smartphones soon!

According to a source, Samsung has fourfoldable devicesset for launch after 2024. They plan on separating the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip group into two tiers: standard and Ultra. For instance, the regular Galaxy Z Fold has anticipated to sport BOE’s QHD display, while its counterpart, the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, will utilize an in-house 4K screen. Similarly, the Galaxy Z Flip will feature an FHD panel from BOE, while the Galaxy Z Flip Ultra to be equipped with QHD Samsung Display. This might suggest that these non-ultra foldable could potentially refer to their more financially feasible “Galaxy A” foldable previously mentioned earlier.
The Galaxy Z Flex and Galaxy Z Tab are two particularly noteworthy devices. The former is a Samsungtri-folding tabletunveiled last year; however, there are no details regarding the latter just yet. Both gadgets won’t launch anytime soon and will likely include displays with 2,000 nits peak brightness.
Additionally, it’s reported that these products were designed by Hubert Lee – an ex-Chief Design Officer of Mercedes Benz China, who now works in the Samsung MX (mobile experience) division. All signs point to this being an exciting development for tech consumers.
According to RGCloudS, several mid-range Galaxy A phones will be replaced with the new Galaxy K series – similar to what the past had in store for us with its Galaxy J lineup. To add more excitement and give customers a better experience, Samsung has decided to eliminate their “Plus” offering from their flagship Galaxy S lineup. What this means is that there will now be three different versions of the Galaxy: base model, ultra variant, and premium version – giving users much more variety when choosing which phone suits them best.

While rumors surround this information, it should be taken with a grain of salt until more sources are heard. Sadly, some may never come to fruition, while others could get cut off completely. To fuel the fire, another leaker nicknamed OreXDA has questioned Samsung’s agreement with BOE and is doubtful whether products such as Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series will actually arrive by 2023. Realistically speaking though, they might just make it in time!
