Samsung Starts Rolling Out One UI 5.1.1 Update to Galaxy Tab S7
The One UI 5.1.1 update brings July security patch for Tab S7 and Tab S7+

Samsung seems to be on a roll when it comes to upgrading the software on its tablets. After releasing the One UI 5.1.1 update for theGalaxy Tab S8 series, the South Korean giant has nowrolled it outfor the Galaxy Tab S7 series. This move was expected, as Samsung had already announced that the stable One UI 5.1.1 update would begin rolling out to older foldable and tablet devices in August. The One UI 5.1.1 update will be made available for all of Samsung’s foldable phones released since 2020, as well as a wide range of tablets.
The One UI 5.1.1 update for theGalaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+comes with firmware version ending in DWH3, brings not only the exciting features of One UI 5.1.1 but also includes the July 2023 security patch. Stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements and security for your Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ with this update.
As of now, the One UI 5.1.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series is being rolled out in select regions of Europe. However, the wider release is expected to happen soon. Please note that the timing of the update may vary depending on whether you have the LTE or Wi-Fi version of the tablet. Additionally, owners of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE will have to wait as the FE model follows a different update schedule compared to the Tab S7 and Tab S7+.
To check for available updates, open the Settings app on your tablet. Navigate to Software Update and tap on the “Download and Install” button.
Please note that One UI 5.1.1 will be the final major update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series. The Tab S7 and Tab S7+ were launched running Android 10 and are not eligible for Android 14. Only the Galaxy Tab S7 FE will receive Android 14 and One UI 6.0, as it was launched ten months after the non-FE models and came with Android 11 and One UI 3.1 pre-installed.
One UI 5.1.1 Key Features for Tab S7
One UI 5.1.1 comes with several exciting features. Users can now effortlessly drag and drop files using both hands. Additionally, pop-up windows can be easily hidden on either side. Supported apps allow for seamless switching between pop-up view and multi-window mode. Notably, the taskbar has been enhanced to display up to four recently used apps on the right side. These improvements enhance functionality and provide a smoother user experience.
Additional enhancements include the ability to effortlessly share files through Quick Share, even with users outside your Wi-Fi network. Moreover, Private Share now offers the convenience of setting an expiration time for each file. Notably, Samsung has revamped the built-in Photo Editor, replacing adjustment sliders with user-friendly dials. Furthermore, Samsung has introduced the convenience of changing Modes directly from the lock screen and expanded the options for clock widget fonts.
