If you’ve been having problems connecting to Slack this morning, you aren’t alone. It seems the popular workplace messaging app has gone down again.

This time, it’s files and images that appear to have been hit, though experiences vary from person to person.

Website status tracking service Downdetector first received reports from users at 8am this morning, though that number didn’t spike until 10:39am when the site was bombarded with 137 new reports.

Slack confirmed the outage at 2:49am PST (10:49am in the UK), sharing that users were having trouble uploading files and using other services.

“We’re still investigating the issue affecting some of our features (calls, huddles, email processing, file uploads, emoji reactions retention, new DM groups retention in sidebar, Search, Workflow builder, Channel creation, API errors, webhooks, invites and admin actions)”, updated the app at 2:22pm, over three hours after the incident was first confirmed.

“Thanks for sticking with us as we continue to work on a fix”.

Login, connections and notifications appear to remain unaffected by the outage.

We’ve had our own issues with Slack atTrusted Reviews, though this has mostly been limited to transferring images and files over the messaging service more so than anything else.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Slack outage in recent weeks. The app went down in the middle of the day in February, causing users problems logging in, as well as with connections, messaging, posts, files and notifications.

As of 3pm, the website and app still appear to be experiencing problems as reports continue to roll in through Downdetector. We’ll be keeping an eye on Slack’s status page and its social media and will update this page with any news.
