TCL TAB 10 Gen 2: Everything You Need To Know
TCL brings a new budget offering for the US market with stylus and keyboard support.

The budget Android tablet market is filled with many players and TCL is one of them. The company just launched its TAB 10 Gen 2 for the US market today. Priced at $170, TCL is going to face some stiff competition from other players likeAmazon’s Fire tabletseries,Samsung’s A-series Galaxy Tabs, and others.
The TCL TAB 10 Gen 2 seems like an incremental upgrade over its predecessor, the TCL Tab 10 FHD 4G. It comes with a 10.36-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a 2000 x 1200 pixels resolution backed by NXTVISION technology. Featuring an aluminum body, the TAB 10 Gen 2 is a sleek tablet that weighs 425 grams.
The tablet is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8768E chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.
There’s an 8MP rear camera onboard along with a 5MP front camera, both cameras can record 1080p full HD videos. It also features stereo speakers. In terms of connectivity, the tablet gets 4G support (based on the variant), WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. A 6,000mAh battery backs the TAB 10 Gen 2 with USB 2.0 Type-C port. It also supports reverse charging functionality, which means that you can charge other devices using your TCL tablet.
In the software department, the TAB 10 Gen 2 runs Android 13 out-of-the-box. Interestingly, TCL promises security updates until July 2025 for this tablet.
Optional Accessories Support for TCL TAB 10 Gen 2
For users who like their tablets with accessories like stylus then they could get TCL’s optional stylus called “T-Pen” that boasts 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. But it is not clear whether TCL has launched this optional stylus in the US as well. On its website, TCL also showcases a Bluetooth keyboard and tablet cover for the TAB 10 Gen 2.
Overall, the TAB 10 Gen 2 by TCL seems to be a good offering with a large screen, decent battery power, and optional accessories. For budget buyers who are not really impressed by Amazon’s Fire tablet series, then they now have an option from TCL at $170.
