Want this limited edition red BlackBerry Z10? Better start making some apps

App gurus take note – you could soon be wrapping your hands around this shiny red BlackBerry Z10

BlackBerry has decided to thank developers for their commitment toBlackBerry 10by announcing that it will be giving away 12,000 limited edition redBlackBerry Z10handsets.

All you have to do it submit a worthy app to BlackBerry App World by February 28th and your race-car-red Z10 will be shipped straight to your eagerly awaiting hands.

While the red version is identical to its black and white siblings in the specs department, we’re certain that it felt faster in our hands, most likely because of the improved aerodynamic properties of the sleek and shiny red paint job. Or maybe that’s just our imaginations running wild again.
