Xiaomi Just Launched a $200 12-inch Tablet with iPad Pro Features

New budget tablet on the block with impressive features that rival Apple’s iPad Pro!

Xiaomi has recently launched the Redmi Pad Pro, which they had been teasing for a while. The latest tablet is affordable and boasts impressive mid-range specifications, display, and stylus pen support. Despite being budget-friendly, this tablet offers some features that are comparable to the iPad Pro. It comes with a 120Hz display, which is as bright as 600 nits, similar to that of theiPad Pro.

The tablet boasts a 12.1-inch LCD screen on the outside with a 2.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also has up to 600 nits of peak brightness and is TUV Rheinland certified. The device comes with a 10,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also supports Dolby Vision and has a quad-speaker setup powered by Dolby Atmos.

The Redmi Pad Pro comes equipped with the advanced Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, providing up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It boasts Redmi’s first inspirationstyluswith 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and a minimum latency of 5ms. Additionally, it features Redmi’s first keyboard-style double-sided protective case for added convenience and protection.

On the software side of things, the tablet runs Android 14-based HyperOS out-of-the-box. There are 8MP front and rear cameras.

The starting price for this tablet with 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage in China is CNY 1,499, which is around $234. The 8GB RAM+ 128GB Storage variant is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx. $221) and 8GB RAM+ 128GB Storage costs CNY 1,799 (around $249).

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you’ll be delighted to know that Xiaomi has introduced a special edition of their Redmi Pad Pro. The Harry Potter edition, along with the regular edition, will be available for purchase in China starting from April 15.

The starting price looks quite affordable, considering its specifications. Hopefully, the price won’t increase too much when it’s released outside of China.

Just to refresh your memory, the Redmi Pad was launched in various markets in 2022. It comes equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, a 10.61-inch 2K 90Hz LCD screen, an 8000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, and four speakers.
