So far, Xiaomi has exclusively introduced the Pro variants of its tablet series within the borders of China. Take the Xiaomi Pad 6, for instance, which is officially available in the markets outside China includingIndiaandEuropewhile the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has yet to make its official debut in any of the international markets. But we might see this trend shift next year. As per a recent report byGSMChina, the rumored Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro might just be the first “Pro” variant in the tablet lineup to break free from its local market and make a global debut.

How do we know this? This details about the global launch of Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro was found within the source code of HyperOS, Xiaomi’s new Android skin. The firmware build 23.12.10 includes an entry for the alleged Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, identified by its code name “sheng,” hinting at a global release. If these indications hold true, Xiaomi seems poised to break away from its tradition of confining the Pro tablets to the Chinese market.

Other specs include a 144 Hz refresh rate and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood. The tablet’s HyperOS overlay will be based on Android 14. The Pad 7 Pro is also expected to boast a quad-stereo setup with Dolby support.
