At the launch event in China, ZTE debuted Axon 50 Ultra flagship phone alongside the AxonPad 5G tablet. Boasting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset as a first for tablets, the AxonPad 5G comes with impressive specs alongside great features.

The ZTE AxonPad 5G is sleek and lightweight, boasting a thickness of only 6.5mm and weighing in at just 605 grams. It’s equipped with an impressive 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel featuring 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colors for superior visuals on the go. Plus, it offers compatibility with accessories like a stylus as well as ZTE’s smart magnetickeyboard.

Outfitted with MyOS 13-based Android 13 OS, ZTE’s new tablet empowers users to easily transition between work and personal profiles. With the power of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, LDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage, users can enjoy unparalleled connectivity between different ZTE devices without worrying about potential security risks — thanks to a dedicated chip installed in the device provides an extra layer of protection.

Boasting a 10,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, Axon Pad 5G is leading the pack as the first tablet with dual 5G SIM support. The back panel of this device showcases its single camera along with an LED flash; however, there has yet to be any news on how many megapixels these cameras possess.

ZTE has yet to declare the RAM and storage options of their popular Axon Pad 5G. At present, this device can only be purchased by local or state governments as well as business entities; there is no version available for general consumers. The sleek design will come in black and gray colors.

Although ZTE has not revealed any further details, we hope that the Chinese manufacturer would soon be bringing the AxonPad 5G to general consumers and regions outside China. s the world’s first 5G tablet with improved security features, this device has a real chance at making an impact in the market and becoming highly sought-after by buyers. However, ZTE needs to act fast if they want to beat Samsung before their Tab S9 tabletslaunch later this year.
